Ultrasound

Ultrasound equipment is used to examine the tissues and organs in the body by sending high-frequency sonic waves of 20,000 Hz or higher, which are inaudible to humans, into the body and imaging the sound waves that are partially reflected back. It is safe and painless and allows for comfortable and repeatable examinations.

This is high-performance ultrasound equipment used for therapeutic purposes that surpasses conventional ultrasound equipment.

Characteristics of Each Ultrasound Examination Area

Upper abdominal ultrasound: This is performed to examine the shapes of organs such as liver, spleen, pancreas, kidney, and gallbladder and to check for inflammatory diseases and tumors of each organ such as fatty liver, cirrhosis, gallbladder stones, gallbladder polyps, and hydronephrosis.

Thyroid ultrasound: This is performed to examine the shape, size, and parenchyma of the thyroid and to check the condition of benign tumors, malignant tumors, thyroiditis, and cervical lymph nodes.

Pelvic ultrasound: This is performed to observe the position of the uterus and ovaries, as well as tumors such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and other pelvic diseases.

Prostate ultrasound: This is performed to check for prostate calcification, prostate enlargement, prostate cancer, etc.

Carotid ultrasound: This is a test for stroke prevention by observing the state of atherosclerosis and plaques (blood clots) in the carotid arteries.

Breast ultrasound: This is performed in combination with mammography or alone to observe malignant and benign tumors, mammary ducts, and axillary nodes in the breast.
