Laboratory Medicine
KOMEF Medical Examination Center is directly connected with TLIS (clinical pathology system) and TLA (automatic specimen dispensing system) for full automation of the clinical pathology examination process (TLIA). All specimens are barcoded to facilitate management, and results are quickly received via an automatic interface with the testing equipment.

- Biochemistry Tests
-
Using serum from the patient as the sample, a liver function test, kidney function test, electrolyte test, blood lipid test, cardiovascular test, pancreatic test, diabetes test, arthritis test, and well-being life test are conducted with automated chemical analysis equipment.
- Blood Tests
-
In addition to a series of tests related to blood cells and clotting, tests related to the distribution, structure, and function of blood cells in the body and tests related to precursor cells distributed in the bone marrow are conducted.
- Tests for leukemia, thrombocytopenia, and hemostasis – Tests for related disorders such as anemia and blood type
- Urine Chemistry
-
Urine and stool are tested for quantification of occult blood, bilirubin, ketone bodies, glucose, protein, and white blood cells.
- Tests for kidney disease and abnormalities
- Immunoserologic Tests
-
Immunoassay using electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA), which surpasses the conventional EIA test method, is performed to detect hepatitis B antigens, hepatitis B antibodies, hepatitis A, tumor markers, etc. based on antigens and antibody reactions in the blood.
